Looking Ahead - August 14

4 min read

Looking Ahead puts the spotlight on runners of interest across Australia and New Zealand. Whether they are a particularly well-bred or high-priced runner having their first or second start, a promising galloper returning to the track or a horse which has trialled particularly well, we’ll aim to give you something to follow.

On Sunday, we will begin the day at Bendigo with a $900,000 son of Redoute’s Choice on debut before turning our attention to a promising Rupert Legh-owned colt. We will round out the day on the Sunshine Coast with a brother to Yes Yes Yes.

The Ozzie Kheir-owned galloper has drawn barrier four and will be partnered by Ben Melham. Bred by Arrowfield Stud and purchased by Aquis Farm, Group 1 Bloodstock (FBAA) and Ozzie Kheir for $900,000 from the 2020 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Windshadow is a half-brother to South African stakes winner Traces (Snitzel) and a brother to G3 Canonbury S. runner-up Spring Loaded.
