Listed Clare Lindop S., $100,000, 1600m

Mac 'N' Cheese (Sebring) reaffirmed her liking for Morphettville with this dominant victory, her third from just seven starts.

Bred by Nick Vass and purchased by Spendthrift Australia for $300,000 at the 2020 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Mac 'N' Cheese is now a dual stakes winner having also won the Listed Oaklands Plate at the same track last winter.

One of her late G1 Golden Slipper S.-winning sire's 73 stakes winners, she is the third foal for the wonderful mare Bonnie Mac (NZ) (Thorn Park) whose three to race are all stakes winners - her first foal being the G1 Coolmore Stud S.-winning stallion Exceedance (Exceed And Excel) and her second the dual Group-winning sprinter Oxley Road (Exceed And Excel).

Not surprisingly her fourth foal was well sought-after - the Gregory Hickman-trained 2-year-old Capital Mac (Capitalist) fetching $1,050,000 at last year's Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale.

Bonnie Mac, who sadly died in 2020, was also a very good race mare - winning five of her 16 starts including the Listed Proud Miss S. Her stakes-placed dam Gold Class (NZ) (Gold Brose) was also great at stud with another three of her foals being stakes winners - the G3 Grand Prix S. winner Upham (NZ) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}), the G3 Epona S. winner Intimate Moment (NZ) (Dubawi {Ire}) and the Listed winner Gold Rum (NZ) (Golan {Ire}).
