Listed Carlton Draft Murray Bridge Gold Cup, $107,250, 1600m

The Will Clarken-trained import Ironclad (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}) drops in class here after finishing 10th behind Chaillot (Testa Rossa) in the Listed Testa Rossa S. at Sandown last time out.

The Australian Bloodstock-owned gelding failed to fire first-up at Morphettville albeit with excuses and should improve sharply here with fitness on his side.

Expect the Listed Bendigo Golden Mile winner to hit the line hard with the right run in transit from barrier 18.

Lord Vladivostok (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) looks well-placed second-up after running on strongly into second at Morphettville last fortnight. The Michael Hickmott-trained gelding will relish the extra 200 metres on offer under the guidance of Kayla Crowther.

Ritratto (Fiorente {Ire}) hasn’t threatened at his past couple of starts but is capable of making his presence felt against this class. The Mick Huxtable-trained 5-year-old is proven at this trip boasting five top two finishes at seven attempts.

Ritratto’s stablemate Perfect Route (Good Journey {USA}) is also well-placed in this contest after finishing a narrow third behind Sign Of Ussuri (Fastnet Rock) and France’s Boy (Equiano {Fr}) at his most recent start. The 5-year-old should cross from barrier 10, put himself up on speed .

Regalo Di Gaetano (Supreme Class) isn’t without a chance in this race after working home strongly from back in the field first-up at Morphettville.

The extra 200 metres on offer here will suit him, with Jake Toeroek will replace apprentice Ben Price aboard the Richard and Chantelle Jolly-trained galloper.
