Rider James McDonald also continued his association with the in-form mare and they settled off the pace before powering down the outside of the track for a comfortable victory.
Bring The Ransom (Sebring) was the in the leading division and boxed on well for second ahead of the favourite Great News (Uncle Mo {USA}). She was caught three and four wide from the outside gate and did well to run third after hitting the front at the top of the straight.

The winner of last season’s greys’ race on Melbourne Cup Day, Berdibek settled at the back of the field from a wide gate under rider Hugh Bowman before they circled runners near the turn.
The 8-year-old maintained a strong gallop to account for the consistent Chris Waller-trained stayer Criminal Code (Maschino) with his stablemate Mubariz (GB) (Dansili {GB}) next home ahead of the longshot Master Shuhood (Ire) (Tamayuz {GB}).
