Exciting filly Written Beauty (Written Tycoon) stepped out for her first public outing this campaign at the Warwick Farm trial on Monday morning and produced a blistering display that has many racing fans looking forward to seeing her back on the track.

The Michael, Wayne and John Hawkes-trained 3-year-old contested a 900 metre heat on the Warwick Farm course proper under the guidance of Jay Ford.

She broke from the gates evenly and cruised up to lead by 4l before she quickened at the top of the straight and went on to post an effortless 3.8l win in 53.58s.

Her Group 2-winning stablemate Dirty Work (Written Tycoon) settled in second and that’s where he remained at the winning post, while Golden Eagle runner-up Ice Bath (NZ) (Sacred Falls {NZ}) finished off strongly and was another 0.8l away in third.

Written Beauty kicked off her career in Queensland under the care of Bryan and Daniel Guy, where she finished second on debut at the Gold Coast in June last year before posting a 6l win at the same track a fortnight later.

She has since been transferred to Team Hawkes and is undefeated in three starts with wins at Canterbury, Moonee Valley and at Flemington in the G3 Red Roses S. last spring.

Bred and raced by Orbis Bloodstock, Written Beauty is one of nine winners from 10 to race out of Beauty World (Danehill Dancer {Ire}), who is also responsible for stakes winners Lite’n In My Veins (Henrythenavigator {USA}), Hi World (High Chaparral {Ire}) and Ducimus (Snitzel).

Beauty World also produced Loveyamadly (Bel Espirt), who won the Listed Abell S. and produced last year’s G3 McNeil S. winner Immortal Love (Snitzel).

Another 3-year-old filly who put her hand up as one to watch this autumn at the Warwick Farm trials on Monday was Mark Newnham’s Every Rose (Choisir).

Having her second trial this time in after a being given a soft time at Randwick on January 21, Every Rose was away from the gates evenly and was sent straight to the front by Josh Parr, where she settled in a comfortable lead for the trip.

She then quickened at the top of the straight and was let off the bridle with 200 metres to go, racing away to win the 1000 metre heat by 6.3l in a time of 59.65s.

Every Rose’s only win so far in her seven start career came when she took out the G3 Gimcrack S. on debut back in 2019. She has since finished second in the R. Listed Magic Millions Wyong 2YO Classic and G3 BJ McLachlan S., and was fourth in the G2 San Domenico S. last August.

She only had one run post the San Domenico where she finished sixth in the G2 Tea Rose S. and hasn’t been seen at the races since.

A $160,000 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase by Darby Racing and de Burgh Equine from the draft of Tyreel Stud, Every Rose is a half-sister to three winners with their dam the Show A Heart mare Couredge.

She is a half-sister to the G2 Matriarch S. winner Vintedge (Flying Spur) with their mother a sister to the G1 CF Orr S. winner and G1 Golden Slipper S. placegetter and sire Racer’s Edge.
