Stable Financial - Bookkeeper

Stable Financial is a highly respected accounting firm that specialises in the thoroughbred industry representing many leading industry participants including breeders, owners, trainers, syndicators etc. An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and motivated bookkeeper to join our team.

Role Includes:

• Reconcile bank statements

• Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable reconciliations

• BAS/PAYG monthly lodgement and payment

• Fortnightly/Monthly Payroll including Superannuation and Payroll Tax

• Liaise with accountants to produce an annual financial statement

• Establish and maintain a range of databases and records systems

• Produce a number of different accounting and management reports using MYOB &/or Xero Reports

• Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS's) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS's)

• Prepare ATO applications such as ABN, TFN, GST and PAYG

• Participate in external and internal training as required

Your Skills and Experience

• Strong knowledge and experience with Xero and MYOB

• Excellent use of Word, Excel and Outlook

• Passion for the horse racing industry

TDN AusNZ - Content Coordinator

Thoroughbred Daily News AusNZ is a media publication dedicated to a bloodstock audience. Our online newsletter is posted daily at around 9pm AEDT.

We are looking for a competent team player to work part-time on content layout for 2.5 days per week, Sunday and Monday with another part-day to be agreed.

Must be available to work every Sunday and Monday, and the capacity to help on major racedays and sale days.

The work day commences at 9am for one hour followed by a four hour break between 10am and 2pm, and is completed when the final publication goes live at 9pm.

Hours are not flexible.

The role could expand into a full-time position for the right person.

Skills required:

- Superb spelling, grammar and proof-reading

- Accuracy and pride in work

- A positive attitude

- Ability to work well in a team and take direction

Salary will depend on the skills and experience of the candidate.
