Pedigree Boosters - Inglis Classic Yearling Sale

In the build up to the Inglis Classic Yearling Sale, we have picked out three yearlings who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

Today, a half-brother to a well-performed New Zealand 2-year-old takes our eye as do a Maurice (Jpn) colt and a Hellbent filly whose half-brothers were both winners on Saturday.

Lot 33 - So You Think (NZ) x Hidden Attraction (Hidden Dragon) - On Account of Bell River Thoroughbreds

This colt's 2-year-old half-brother, Sneaky Shark (Capitalist), has yet to break his maiden, but has been placed in three of his four starts, including a terrific run when runner-up to On The Bubbles (Brazen Beau) in the R. Listed Karaka Million 2YO Classic last week.

It’s a family with a bit of class about it, with the dam, Hidden Attraction (Hidden Dragon), a half-sister to multiple Group 1 winner Atomic Force (Danehill Dancer {Ire}). This colt's third dam is also a half-sister to six-time Group 1 winner Encounter (Tierce).

Lot 252 - Maurice (Jpn) x Push And Shove (Not A Single Doubt) - On Account of Arrowfield Stud

This colt's half-brother Flash Panther (Dundeel {NZ}) was very impressive winning at Newcastle on Saturday, coming from a long way back to surge home and break his maiden. That came after another half-brother All For South (Toronado {Ire}), who raced as Powertrain in Australia, where he won four races, recently won a race in Hong Kong.

Those victories give some added currency to a pedigree that already includes Listed winner Raceway (More Than Ready {USA}), a half-brother to this colt's dam Push And Shove.

Lot 555 - Hellbent x Crystal Rock (Fastnet Rock) - On Account of Middlebrook Valley Lodge

Mark Newnham's Big Parade (Deep Field), a half-brother to this filly, has been in good form of late, winning races at Randwick in December and Rosehill on Saturday, when he surged late to score narrowly. Also in winning form of late have been Virtus Star (Sebring) and I Am Thirty (I Am Invincible), both out of half-sisters to the dam, Crystal Rock.

This is the family of Not A Single Doubt and Snippets (Lunchtime {GB}) and by extension Group 1 winners King's Legacy (Redoute's Choice) and Oohood (I Am Invincible).
