In the build up to the Inglis Easter Yearling Sale Round 2, the Scone Yearling Sale and the Australian Weanling Sale, we will pick out three lots each day who have enjoyed pedigree updates in the lead-up to the auctions.

Today, we check out a daughter of No Nay Never (USA) who has received a Group boost from Ireland and at Scone we take a closer look at a colt whose half-brother is a recent winner and a son of the exciting young stallion Vancouver.

Easter Round 2, Lot 9 - No Nay Never (USA) x Like A Song (Ire) (Royal Applause {GB}) – On account of Coolmore

This filly is the sole representative of her sire in the auction and hails from an internationally successful family. Her dam is a half-sister to the G3 Sandown Atalanta S. winner Ladys First (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}).

The G2 Doncaster May Hill S. winner and Group 1 performer Fleeting (Ire) (Zoffany {Ire}) is another quality performer in the pedigree, and he also finished runner-up in the G2 Mooresbridge S. since the catalogue went to print.

Scone Yearling Sale, Lot 261 - Your Song x Bay Trixie (General Nediym) – On account of Ashleigh Thoroughbreds

This colt is a brother to The Tenor, who recently won for the fifth time in his career and another update has been delivered from overseas with family member Zerostress (Ger) (Areion {Ger}) placing at Group 3 level in Germany.

The pedigree page of Ashleigh’s youngster also features the G3 Thoroughbred Club S. winner and multiple stakes placegetter California Zimbol (I Am Invincible) and her half-sister From Within (Not A Single Doubt), successful in the Listed Alinghi S.

Scone Yearling Sale, Lot 292 - Vancouver x Dirty (Hussonet {USA}) – On account of Vinery Stud

As the only youngster by Vancouver in the sale, this colt is sure to have his share of admirers. The first crop of his sire have made an outstanding impression and most recently capped by his son Mount Pleasant winning at Group 2 level in South Africa.

Vinery’s colt is a half-brother to three winners, including the Group 2-placed Cabeza De Vaca (Northern Meteor). Their dam Dirty was successful four times and the family also features the stake-winning half-brothers Whitlam (Elusive Quality {USA}) and Etymology (New Approach {Ire}).
