A canny ride from Dean Holland allowed the well-fancied I Am Someone (Onemorenomore) to successfully overcome a wide gate.
He allowed the 4-year-old to drop back from the awkward barrier and, as the field fanned out into the straight, brought the gelding home closest to the fence for a comfortable victory.
Malibu Style (Magnus) finished determinedly to take second money and the longshot This Kid Rocks (Super Kid {NZ}) ran on from midfield for third.
