Inglis finalises Chairman's Sale wildcards

Inglis has finalised the wildcards for next week's Chairman's Sale, with seven new additions taking the total number of select fillies and mares to 60.

Fast Fleet (Fastnet Rock), the dam of star sprinter Santa Ana Lane (Lope De Vega {Ire}), who is in foal to Zoustar, is the highlight of the wildcards, while the dam of multiple G1 placed 2-year-old Loving Gaby, Maastricht (NZ) (Mastercraftsman {Ire}), is also featured, in foal to I Am Invincible.

The other wildcards are the broodmares Sensibility (Redoute’s Choice), who is in foal to I Am Invincible, Acquired (NZ) {O'Reilly {NZ}) in foal to Not A Single Doubt, My Maggie (I Am Invincible) in foal to Zoustar as well as the stakes-paced mare Luskintyre Lass (Snitzel) and the filly Symi (Fastnet Rock), the full sister to Group 1 winner Catchy.

The sale at the Riverside on Friday May 3 will also feature the 53 mares and fillies initially catalogued, including G1 Thousand Guineas winner Aloisia (NZ) (Azamour {Ire}), dual G1 winner Srikandi (Dubawi {Ire}, who is in foal to American Pharoah (USA) as well as Group 1-placed sprinter Snitty Kitty (Smitzel) among others.

The Friday night session, which also features an auction for a nomination to Widden's new stallion Trapeze Artist for the benefit of jockey Tye Angland, and a share in the Russian Revolution stallion syndicate, will be the highlight of a big week at the Riverside Stables

A catalogue of 257 weanlings kicks off the Australian Broodmare and Weanling Sale on the Thursday, with the first foals by Triple Crown winner American Pharoah on sale along with the first crop offerings for the likes of Capitalist, Astern, Extreme Choice, Flying Artie, Shalaa (Ire), Maurice (Jpn), Star Turn, Divine Prophet, Winning Rupert, Xtravagant (NZ), Territories, Mikki Isle (Jpn), Sooboog, Stratum Star and Odyssey Moon.

There are 361 fillies and broodmares catalogues for sale on Sunday May 5 and Monday May 6. Supplementary entries for that sale remain open until next Monday.
