Pedigree Boosters - Inglis Easter

3 min read

In the build up to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale at the Riverside Complex, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

As Godolphin continues its domination of the 2-year-old season, we look at a Dissident colt getting resultant page boost. We also check out the half-brother of a recent Group 1 placegetter as well as a Sebring colt benefiting from the winner of the recent Listed Canberra Guineas.

Lot 84 - Dissident x Laetitia - Offered by Sledmere Stud

There is already plenty of black type about this colt's pedigree thanks to him being a half-brother to Group 3 winner and stallion Stryker (Fastnet Rock), plus a trio of other stakes-placegetters, Exceed And Exalt (Exceed And Excel), Puerto Banus (Encosta De Lago) and Seeking Attention (Exceed And Excel), but the recent efforts of Godolphin 2-year-old Amercement (Lonhro) have added an extra boost.

Amercement is out of Forfeiture (Commands), who is a half-sister to the dam of this colt, Laetitia (Woodman). Amercement was a winner of the G3 Widden S, in February, securing black-type at just her second start. Also adding an update was this colt's half-brother Simply Impeccable (Street Cry {Ire}), who was a winner in Macau in March.

Lot 154 Rubick x November Flight - Offered by Kitchwin Hills

Pierata (Pierro) went within a whisker of getting a Group 1 win in this colt's immediate family when he was narrowly beaten in the G1 Galaxy S. That was his third Group 1 placing and certainly increases interest in his half-brother by Rubick, to be offered by Kitchwin Hills.

Another half-brother, Ashokan (More Than Ready {USA}), is also a Group winner, as was the dam November Flight, whose 2-year-old by Dundeel (NZ), November Morning, began her career recently for her breeders and owners at Hobartville Stud.

Lot 236 Sebring x Run For Roses - Offered by Kitchwin Hills

This colt now has a new black-type winning relative after Final Award's (Smart Missile) win in last month's Listed Canberra Guineas. That gelding, prepared by Mark Newnham, looks very progressive and is nominated for the Listed South Pacific Classic at Randwick this Saturday,

Final Award is out of this colt's half-sister, the stakes-placed Bound To Blush (Strategic), a family which also includes King Louis (Medaglia D'Oro {USA}), a stakes-winner Singapore, and further back, Group 1 winners Keeper (Danehill), who is a full sister to the dam Run For Roses, and Metal Bender, who is out of another half-sister.
