2 min read

In the build up to the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale at the Riverside Complex, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

Today, we look at a half-brother to a precocious juvenile from the family of a former champion sprinter, a colt with an impressive Group 1 pedigree and a filly who is sure to command widespread attention.

Lot 210 Zoustar x Ready As Elle (More Than Ready {USA})

This colt from Widden Stud is from a speed family as a half-brother to the Chris Waller-trained Accession (Brazen Beau). He has won two of his five starts this season, including the Inglis Nursery and finished runner-up in the Inglis 2YO Millennium.

Their dam, who was successful five times, is also a half-sister to the multiple stakes winner and Group 1 performer Emperor Max (Holy Roman Emperor {Ire}), Singapore’s champion sprinter of 2015.

Lot 112 No Nay Never (USA) x Memories Of You (Ire) (Galileo {Ire})

The dam failed to make an impact on the track, but she has shone in her role as a broodmare and has left the G1 Australian Oaks winner Unforgotten (Fastnet Rock) and the multiple top-flight placegetter’s sister Special Memories, also successful at black type level.

To be presented by Coolmore, this colt’s mother is also a half-sister to the G1 French 1000 Guineas winner Matiara (USA) (Bering {GB}) and the Group 2 winners Pyrus (USA) (Mr Prospector {USA}) and Marathon (USA) (Diesis {GB}).

A filly with terrific residual value from Gooree Park Stud’s consignment, she is a half-sister to the G1 JJ Atkins S. winner Romantic Touch (Northern Meteor) and her dual Group 3 winning sister Burning Passion.

Their dam was successful on three occasions and is a half-sister to the champion Australian middle distance performer and multiple Group 1 winner Desert War (Desert King {Ire}) and the G1 Rosehill Guineas winner Laser Hawk (Artie Schiller {Ire}).
