Pedigree Boosters

In the build up to the Inglis Classic Sale at the Riverside Stables in Sydney, we will pick out three yearlings each day who have had substantial pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

Today, we focus on a pair of fillies who have benefitted from recent stakes successes within their families and a colt whose relative has done him a Group 2 favour.

Lot 124 Headwater x Arctic Success – Offered by Vinery Stud

This filly has been the recipient of multiple updates as she hails from a family that features the genuine sprinter and Listed WJ Adams S. winner Bons Away (Bon Hoffa). Sambro (Fastnet Rock) was runner-up in the Listed Magic Millions Cup while Fine Scent (All Too Hard) has posted two recent wins and a stakes placing.

The Vinery-offered youngster is out of a half-sister to the G1 Golden Slipper S. winner Polar Success (Success Express {USA}) and the G2 Magic Night S. and G2 Silver Shadow S. winner Bring Me The Maid (Sebring) also features in the pedigree.

Lot 188 Deep Field x Cathay Lady – Offered by Newgate Farm

Cutadeel (NZ) (Dundeel {NZ}) has done his bit to boost this family and his own G1 New Zealand Derby prospects with three recent wins on the bounce, including success in the Listed ARC 3YO Salver.

This filly from Newgate is out of the Listed winner and Group 2 placegetter Cathay Lady (Exceed And Excel) and boasts an international background. Family members feature the G3 Anglesey S. winner Keraka (USA) (Storm Bird {Can}) and the G3 Chantilly Prix du Bois winner Keratiya (FR) (Iron Mask {USA}).

Lot 287 Hinchinbrook x Enclosure (NZ) – Offered by Sledmere Stud

A significant boost for this colt’s family was delivered at Ellerslie when Imelda Mary (NZ) (Ferlax {NZ}) triumphed in the G2 Royal S. while Auerbach (Denman) has been a city winner.

The dam is a daughter of the G1 William Reid S. winner Wrap Around (Bletchingly) and also featured on the pedigree page is the dual Group 1 winner and G1 Golden Slipper S. runner-up Fashions Afield (Redoute’s Choice).
