In the build up to the major yearling sales this year, we will pick out a selection of yearlings each day who have had notable pedigree updates in the past couple of months.

Today, we look at recent pedigree updates posted in Australia, Singapore and Hong Kong for youngsters who will be offered for sale at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

Lot 2 Vancouver x Paris Who – Offered by Coolmore

The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Penske (Sebring) is proving to be a fine advertisement for this filly. The close relation has won five of his 11 starts, including a stylish winning return at Randwick last month following a five month break.

They are out of half-sisters with the dam of Lot 2, Paris Who (Fusaichi Pegasus {USA}), also a sister to the Listed Maribyrnong Trial S. winner and G1 Golden Slipper S. runner-up and successful sire Zizou.

They are out of the stakes performer Natural Is My Name (Naturalism), who is a half-sister to the champion stallion Not A Single Doubt (Redoute’s Choice) and to the dam of the G1 Flight S. winner Oohood (I Am Invincible).

Lot 35 Zoustar x Purrfection – Offered by Woodside Park Stud

This colt is from a family on the move and he is a half-brother to Lee Freedman’s promising 4-year-old Heliosphere (Sebring), who has won two of his six starts in Singapore and was a runaway last-start winner after Christmas.

Their dam Purrfection (NZ) (Tale Of The Cat {USA}) was a winner and placed in the G2 Matamata Breeders’ S. and the G1 New Zealand 2000 Guineas runner-up Dawn Patrol (NZ) (Dawn Approach {IRE}) is also from this family.

The pedigree features the presences of the G1 New Zealand Oaks winner Boundless (NZ) (Van Nistelrooy {USA}) and the multiple Group 1 winner Veyron (NZ) (Thorn Park).

Lot 364 Nicconi x Apparel – Offered by Lime Country Thoroughbreds

This colt continues toenhance his pedigree by the form of his close relative Southern Legend (Not A Single Doubt) in Hong Kong, with the nine-time winner adding a Group 1 placing in the Hong Kong Mile to his CV at his most recent appearance.

Lot 364 is out of a half-sister to the G1 Allan Robertson Fillies’ Futurity winner Sydney’s Dream (Bletchingly), who produced the G1 Galaxy H. winner and successful sire Charge Forward (Red Ransom {USA}).
