A quickfire round with New Zealand Bloodstock's Mike Kneebone

TDN: What was your 2018 racing highlight?

MK: I need two! Our horse Preditor (NZ) (Savabeel) winning the Jumbo Jet Trophy in Singapore and witnessing Winx (Street Cry {IRE}) win her fourth G1 Cox Plate with three-time Cox Plate winning jockey Brent Thompson at Moonee Valley.

TDN: What would be your dream Christmas present?

MK: Coming from a family of 12 kids we were never big on Christmas presents, but my wish during the festive season is that my family and friends have the best time ever and they stay safe.

TDN: What horse or sire are you looking to follow in the New Year?

MK: Adele and I have racing shares in a few so will be watching all of them. Hoping to see a few young Kiwi sires step up like Shamexpress (NZ) (O’Reilly {NZ}) and Ocean Park (NZ) (Thorn Park) here in Aussie.

TDN: If you had one wish for the racing industry, what would it be?

MK: I would be so happy if the racing industry would work together to make the Messara report happen. I think we only have one limited opportunity now to get ourselves sorted and time is running out fast.
