Group 3 Blue Sapphire S., Caulfield

Race Summary:

Written By (Written Tycoon) continued his love affair with Caulfield with a comfortable all the way win in the G3 Catanach's Jewellers Blue Sapphire S.

The Blue Diamond S. winning colt made it four wins from four starts at the track, jumping straight to front and beating Encryption (Lonhro) by 1.25l, with Tony Nicconi (Nicconi) third in the feature race on the middle day of the Caulfield carnival.

It was Written By's second run, and win, of his campaign and his final start before he heads to the G1 Coolmore Stud S. on the first day of the Flemington carnival.

Yau Chin's first four foals are all winners, while there is a 2yo full-brother to Written By and a colt yearling, named Wise Dragon, by G1 Melbourne Cup winner Fiorente (Ire). The fourth dam in the family is a half-sister to the G1 Guineas winner and successful sire Pins (Aus).

Listed Village S., Caulfield

Race Summary:

A change of luck saw Brave Song (Your Song) claim his first stakes win in the Listed Ladbrokes Village S. at Caulfield.

Having been stakes-placed three times previously, it marks his first black-type win and his fifth overall in a 13-start career for Peter and Paul Snowden.
