Aquis Farm confirm Trapeze Artist (Snitzel) as their slotholder for the 2018 The Everest, five and half months out from the race - four months earlier than the first slot was locked away in 2017.

“He was a dominant winner of the Golden Rose and his last two victories, to my eye, have been as good as we’ve seen and I think he’s bombproof."

TAB confirm that In Her Time (Time Thief) is their runner for The Everest .

“We had an Everest project team who weighed-up all options and considered a number of possible horses but, in the end, In Her Time was the ideal fit on every level,” Adam Rytenskild, Tabcorp’s Managing Director of Wagering and Media.

Yulong Investments locks in Redzel to run in their slot in The Everest.

Two of Australia's best trainers, Chris Waller and Darren Weir combined with Weir's Brave Smash to run in Waller's slot for The Everest.

“We have a horse who has been proven in the best company of sprinters since arriving in Australia a little over 12 months ago and I have a huge amount of respect for Australian Bloodstock who are industry leaders in targeting and importing tried international horses," Chris Waller said.

James Harron confirms Vega Magic will be the runner for James Harron Bloodstock in The Everest .

Graff confirmed as the horse for slotholders Max Whitby and Neil Werrett .

“Neil and I had always wanted something fresh and new for this race – we have got that all right,’’ Max Whitby said.

“But we had been thinking about Graff for some weeks and we feel he can run well, particularly given the mixed results over the weekend. This is anyone’s race."

Invincible Star ruled out of The Everest after suffering lameness. GPI Racing selects Le Romain for their slot.

“He’s a three-time Group 1 winner and a 1300m Group 1 winner at Randwick (Canterbury Stakes) at weight-for-age. He is the type of horse that would make any race under any other circumstances, so I think he deserves his spot,” Le Romain's trainer Kris Lees.

Home of the Brave (GB) scratched, replaced by stablemate Osborne Bulls for the race.

"Osborne Bulls was the favourite for the Sydney Stakes, the race from which The Everest replacements are selected, and it keeps our chances in this great race alive, " Vin Cox said.

"James Cummings has been very pleased with the horse, he loves Royal Randwick and while we’re disappointed for Home Of The Brave, we're delighted Osborne Bulls has been selected and the team are very confident he will run a big race."

The final field
