The second running of The Everest is almost upon us. With the field changing by the day, we take a look at how the formation of the field unfolded over the last five and a half months.

Aquis Farm confirm Trapeze Artist (Snitzel) as their slotholder for the 2018 The Everest, five and half months out from the race - four months earlier than the first slot was locked away in 2017.

“We’ve got the plumb horse which is what’s exciting for us.” Aquis CEO Shane McGrath.

TAB confirm that In Her Time (Time Thief) is their runner for The Everest .

Two of Australia's best trainers, Chris Waller and Darren Weir combined with Weir's Brave Smash to run in Waller's slot for The Everest.

GPI Racing secure Invincible Star to run on The Everest under their slot.

"I think she's a worthy contender," trainer Adrian Bott said. "There's a lot of upside there. We're dealing with a stronger mare this preparation and I think she is ready to prove that."

Graff confirmed as the horse for slotholders Max Whitby and Neil Werrett .

Invincible Star ruled out of The Everest after suffering lameness. GPI Racing selects Le Romain for their slot.
