The National Sale has produced winners of Group 1 races such as the Golden Slipper, Dubai Golden Shaheen, ATC Oaks, CF Orr S., Kelt Capital S. and Victoria Derby.

Adding further appeal, the majority of the yearlings are eligible to compete in the Magic Millions Race Series, now valued at a staggering $20.79 million across 28 races throughout six states.

The series includes races ranging from 1000 to 2200 metres, highlighted by the new $1 million Magic Millions National 2YO Classic, which will be held under the lights at the Gold Coast on Friday, May 24.

Moreover, eligible graduates will have opportunities to shine at the $14.75 million Magic Millions Raceday each January, along with a newly introduced Friday night event preceding the main raceday, featuring five additional races totalling $2.25 million.

“Buying from Magic Millions Yearling Sales gives you more races and more prizemoney,” Bowditch noted.

Last year’s top lot - a filly by The Autumn Sun from superb producer Bagalollies (NZ) (Zabeel) - made $750,000. From the draft of the Arrowfield Stud, she was knocked down to Golden River Investments, becoming the highest priced filly ever sold at a National Yearling Sale.

The sale saw 19 lots sold for six figure prices as the demand for quality lots proved strong, however there was value to be found across the two day sale. The aggregate for Book 1 was a tick over $10 million, down from $14 million the year prior, with the average $39,582. The clearance rate 71.24 per cent and the median a consistent $30,000.
